The Rotary Club of Rochester Holiday Luncheon

Thursday, December 13, 2018
Suites 102 and 103, Mayo Civic Center

Guests welcome!

11:00 a.m. Eggnog Reception
11:30 a.m. Plated Lunch with Dessert
12:30 Program, "How World's Fairs Change the World" presented by Charles Pappas, Senior Writer, Exhibitor Magazine.

Every time you shop at a Whole Foods, eat a hamburger, plug your phone into a wall socket, make a call on that phone, flick on a TV, get an X-ray, lick an ice-cream cone, switch on a computer, ride an escalator, use a touchscreen, listen to recorded music, watch a movie about dinosaurs, or drink a Pabst Blue Ribbon or a Cherry coke, you’re doing something that originated, or was popularized, at a world’s fair. In fact, each new technology and every novel product that rocked America and rolled the world, from the Colt revolver  and the Corvette to fax machines and flush toilets, started at world expos and other exhibitions.

Rotarians from other clubs and non-Rotarians, please ignore the ClubRunner login option.
