To celebrate Robert Burns birthday our club is hosting a taste of Scotland at our Monday lunch.  Many of our club members are of Scottish descent and toast the humble haggis at this time every year.

Come enjoy exquisite Scottish cuisine including beef barley soup, haggis, mashed turnips (neeps), mashed potatoes (tatees). (For those less adventureous, Roast beef will be available as an alternative to haggis).

You will also enjoy a typical Scottish dessert - bread pudding with a side of custard. A wee dram of scotch is available for  $8 to complement the haggis and for toasting purposes.
On this ostentatious occasion a bag piper will set the mood with a variety of festive tunes. This will be followed by a speaker from the Edmonton Burns Society reviewing the poet Robbie Burns and how Scotland has been integral in the formation of Canada.

In keeping with the theme of the day, feel free to wear Scottish tartan socks, a tartan tie or scarf and celebrate the occasion! Come ready to buy some raffle tickets as the winners will enjoy a prize of either one of two baskets of scotch and other liquor or a third prize of two bottles of wine.

If you know of someone who might be interested in joining us for this unique event, please invite them!
