Join RI President Jennifer Jones in Toronto!
On July 5, Rotary International President Jennifer Jones will be in Canada's largest city to showcase the impact of Rotary's many projects and partnerships. This includes the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup, a multi-district Rotary project, and Rotary's partnership with Kids Against Hunger Canada on a food packing initiative that engages community members to address hunger in Canada and around the world. President Jennifer will close out the day with a fun-filled Imagine Rotary BBQ hosted at the Toronto Botanical Garden. She can't wait to to celebrate with you!
 
Note: The main locations for all three events below are in District 7070, but participation from all four hub districts (7010, 7070, 7080, 7090) is encouraged! Satellite events are being planned for people in those districts for whom travel to Toronto is not possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to attend?

The ticket price is $75 per person, including HST.  Members of Rotaract clubs will receive a discount, with tickets priced at $37.50 per person. 

After June 10th all unsold tickets will be released to all four Districts.

How will tickets be sold?
 
TICKETS ARE LIMITED TO 60 ATTENDEES FOR EACH OF FOUR DISTRICTS - 7010, 7070. 7080 AND 7090. THEY ARE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS!

Rotarians/Rotaractors may register a guest on a separate registration form at the same price of $75.00.


Where will this event take place?
 
This event will take place at the Toronto Botanical Garden (TBG). If you are coming across the top of Toronto, take Highway 401 to the Leslie Street exit. Drive south on Leslie until you get to the stoplights at Lawrence Avenue. You may turn right at the intersection and take the first or second driveway on your left to enter Edwards Gardens and find the TBG, OR you may proceed straight through the lights and take the first right into the large parking area surrounding the TBG. 
 

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive just prior to 6:00 pm. 
 

What time will the event be over?

The event will be over by 8:15 pm.
 

Where should I park?

There is a paid parking lot adjacent to the garden. All proceeds support the Toronto Botanical Garden.
 

What type of food will be served?

There will be a selection of BBQ'ed foods and side dishes from a diversity of culinary and cultural traditions, including halal and vegetarian options.
 

What is the appropriate dress code?

Smart casual and/or Rotary attire.

 

Will there be any fundraising at the event (50/50, silent auction, live auction, etc...)?

Yes, plans are being developed to raise funds at the event for The Rotary Foundation. 
 

Will there be structured activities at the event?

Yes. Details will be available in late May.
 

Will there be liquor/wine/beer at the event?

Yes. There will be a cash bar at the event with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. 

 

Will I have an opportunity to talk to President Jennifer Jones?

President Jennifer will mingle with BBQ guests as much as she can. The time she can spend with each person will be impacted by the large number of guests and media appearances.
 

What time will President Jennifer be formally addressing the event guests? 

Details will be available in late May.
