The Rotary Club of Calgary East is partnering with Breaking Barriers to host an event for the Nam Centre for Holistic Recovery. The proceeds of this event will be shared equally between Breaking Barriers and the club.

Breaking Barriers is an event and an initiative to create awareness and urgency around the need for further supports to individuals suffering with Mental Health and Addiction particularly in our community. There is a stigma in our community around Mental Health and Addiction and individuals dealing with it often remain silent and suffer alone in the dark, often in plain sight while being overlooked.

With this event, we aim to create a safe space and a hub where conversations can become an avenue to providing available and accessible supports for people dealing with Mental Health and Addiction in our community. Together, we have the opportunity to strengthen the support systems our community urgently needs and to create meaningful, lasting change in mental health and addiction care.
