Mr. Riemer is the CEO of Emissions Reduction Alberta—ERA for short. They are a board-governed, not-for-profit corporation that invests in technology and innovation that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and grows Alberta’s economy. The world is demanding a net-zero future, ERA is a key lever in the province for getting that done.
Justin is super passionate about supporting the advancement of sectors vital to the diversification of Alberta’s economy, having served in leadership roles to deliver initiatives at both the federal and provincial levels related to value-added energy, health innovation, clean technology, and inclusive economic development.
Most recently, he led the Alberta region of Prairies Economic Development Canada in delivering unprecedented levels of relief and recovery programming to individuals, businesses, and organizations impacted by COVID-19. Before that, he held several senior positions at the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services.
